Final Fantasy XIV Patch 1.19 Delayed
Today on the FF14 forums, producer Naoki Yoshida informed players that the massive content patch 1.19 would be delayed by five days. Scheduled for release on the evening of October 4, it will seriously change the land of Eorzea.
“The main reason for the delay is the balancing and debugging needed to ensure the stability of both all-new content and the overhauls being made to battle algorithms. Rather than rushing an earlier release and risking unnecessary player inconvenience, I’d rather spend a few more days balancing the combat and materia systems, and squashing as many bugs as possible.”
This patch adds chocobo mounts, the implementation of airships for faster travel, a battle system revision, the introduction of groups for enemies, the introduction of experience chains, a Materia Crafting system, new gameplay tutorials, quests, guildlevels, Notorious Monsters, caravan escort missions, Beastmen stronghold raids/dungeon, and much much more.
Oh and let’s not forget the battle against Ifrit, the evil demon of fire. (Which by the way comes in two variations, one for level 30 players and another for level 50 players)
